Global User Conference Brand & Experiential Design
Overview:
MicroStrategy World 2020 marked the beginning of a new decade and a new direction for the platform with the launch of HyperIntelligence. I led the creative vision for reimagining the annual conference, designing a fully immersive brand experience for more than 3,000 attendees across two resort hotels.
The Challenge:
The event needed to signal innovation, clarity, and forward momentum while supporting a major product launch. The brand had to feel visionary yet cohesive across every attendee touchpoint—from pre-event communications to the exhibit hall experience and post-event follow-up.
The Approach:
Inspired by “2020 vision,” I developed a visual concept centered around expanding rays modeled after a camera aperture—symbolizing clarity and seeing further into the future. This design system informed every element of the experience, including a reimagined exhibit hall with the MicroStrategy booth as the central hub and sponsors positioned as extensions of the brand. We extended the experience beyond traditional spaces, utilizing hotel room TV channels to deliver looping event content and product messaging. Every detail was mapped to the full attendee journey, ensuring cohesion from save-the-date to survey.
The Outcome:
The result was a flawlessly executed, fully immersive brand experience that generated strong pipeline impact, attracted 3,000+ attendees, elevated the executive VIP experience, and solidified MicroStrategy’s position as an innovation leader in the data analytics industry.
